Michael Lohscheller to become CEO of Nikola
Electric truck manufacturer Nikola has announced a change in management. Mark Russell will step down as CEO of Nikola on January 1, 2023. This follows from the company’s press release. Nikola Motor President Michael Lohscheller is appointed as Russell’s successor.
“The selection of Michael Lohscheller represents the completion of a thoughtful succession planning process by the Board of Directors. With over 20 years in the automotive industry, Michael has extensive experience as a seasoned executive and highly skilled business operator,” said Nikola Chairman Steve Girsky.
At the end of July, it became known that Trevor Milton, the founder and former head of Nikola, was accused of fraud. The businessman allegedly misled investors with his statements on social networks and in interviews.
